Jason’s birthday is coming up and he requested something with spice. With it being Halloween in just a few days, this seemed like a good choice.
This is my first “real” (real = baked in a waterbath) cheesecake so I was a little intimidated. But it really wasn’t that bad. Honestly, the hardest part was getting it off of the pan and onto a serving platter. I’ve never been able to get anything off my springform pan without parchment on the bottom, and it’s tough to remove the parchment while trying to keep the cake intact.
The recipe suggested pairing this with a brown sugar and bourbon whipped cream. 10/10 would recommend. 🤤 This whipped cream is amazing. I will be making it for everything now.
